Responsible gambling
Legal age onlyThis page matters more than any market.
Clauseground exists to make market information clearer, not to encourage more frequent betting. No model removes uncertainty. A well-reasoned decision can still lose, so use only money and time you have genuinely decided you can afford to spend.
House rules worth keeping
- Bet only what you can afford to lose — an entertainment budget, never rent, never borrowed money.
- Never chase losses. A loss does not change the math of the next bet, and betting bigger to “win it back” is how bad nights become bad months.
- Set limits before you start — deposit, stake, and time — and keep them when you are winning, too.
- Betting is not income. If it starts to feel like a way to fix money problems, stop and talk to someone.
- Take breaks. If checking lines stops being fun, that is a signal worth respecting.
Signs it may be a problem
Any of these, honestly answered, is a reason to pause and reach out:
- Betting more, or more often, than you planned
- Hiding bets or losses from people close to you
- Borrowing money to bet, or betting money set aside for essentials
- Chasing losses, or betting to feel normal rather than to enjoy the match
- Betting cutting into work, sleep, or relationships
Our own rules
Clausegroundwill never prompt you to chase a loss or use countdown urgency to pressure a decision. The analyst should explain uncertainty and make passing easy. If an answer pushes instead of informs, that is a bug — tell us and we will fix it.
